Shaheed Run 3.0 – DVHM 2024
The Aatma Nirbhar Society proudly organized Shaheed Run 3.0 in Dehradun’s Doon Valley, a tribute to the martyrs of our nation and a salute to their sacrifice. Held at Mahender Ground, Garhi Cantt, the event brought together over 1000 participants, including international runners and para-athletes, in a powerful display of unity and patriotism. Distinguished guests such as Maj Gen Atul Rawat, who flagged off the event as Chief Guest, and Mr. Ranjeet Chaturvedi, the Title Sponsor, graced the occasion, honoring the heroes who laid down their lives for the nation.
The marathon was impeccably organized under the leadership of Race Director Col Anil Gurung (retd), with unwavering support from the Army, local dignitaries, and volunteers. Their combined efforts ensured the event was a resounding success, drawing praise from participants for its flawless execution and the celebratory atmosphere that pervaded the route. Flowers were showered on the runners as a gesture of respect, creating an emotional and festive experience for all involved.
Shaheed Run 3.0 will be remembered as one of Uttarakhand’s most successful marathon events, fostering a deep sense of camaraderie and patriotism. Aatma Nirbhar Society’s initiative has set a new benchmark in honoring the nation’s heroes, and the overwhelming support from all corners guarantees even greater milestones in future editions.
