Yamuna DivyaUtsav

Brij Dham Mathurapuri with the Divyang Sena of Maa Yamuna.

After successfully completing the 620 km Yamunajal Kalash Pag Yatra from Yamunotri Dham to Mathura Brij Dham in the year 2021, Project Aatmanirbhar Society (Regd.) celebrated Yamuna Janmotsav on the banks of Punya Teerth Vishram Ghat located in Brij Dham.

Project Self-reliant Society (Regd.) had organized MahaNadi Yamuna MahaUtsav on Yamuna Chhath Diwas in 2022, and in the same year the efforts of Project Aatmanirbhar Society (Regd.) to spread awareness on Yamuna were recognized by the Honorable RSS Chief and the Honorable National Security Advisor of India.

Later in 2022, even the Prime Minister of India in Mayors Conference called out for conducting river festivals at major pilgrimage sites across the country to rekindle the spirit of cultural and heritage values of rivers.

So in 2023, Project Aatmanirbhar Society celebrated Yamuna Divya Utsav with a unique initiative including ‘Divyang’ i.e. disabled children, who participated in the event and gave a clear message to society. This was the first time in the history of Mathura that such young disabled children stood for a social and environmental issue.

he last time such an act was done was in Treta Yuga when Luv Kush had put forward the plight of their mother Sita before the people of Ayodhya. Now this act has been repeated in Kalyug that the children of Yamuna raised their voice for her restoration and preservation.

It remains to be seen whether the voice of these children will be heard or it will be ignored.

The celebration of Yamuna Festival started off with a Divine procession in which nearly 150 ‘Divyang” children from Vatsalya Gram  & Shri Krishna Manovikas Sewa Sansthan took to the streets with banners and placards calling out to one and all.

A Street show Drama ‘NUKKAD NAATAK’ was presented by Rangsaarthi Studio from Delhi at the Vishram Ghat highlighting the importance of societys responsibility towards preservation of Yamuna.

A Yamuna Divine Music and Art Presentation was organized in which ‘Divyang” children enthralled the crowd with their performances.

A Divine Yamuna Aarti was conducted by hundreds of children, Team Aatmanirbhar, Rangsaarthi Studio, NCC alumni from ‘Veerta – Power of Youth’ with small electric diyas bringing a divine ambience on the ghats of Mathura.

Finally, hundreds of children hand-printed sarees for the famous Maa Yamuna Divya Chunari Manorath, expressing their love towards Yamuna and as a gift for her from their children.
